For sale! A true heirloom piece touched by God and built to last 10 generations. A very special piece to me is this Celtic inspired, viking style dragon table. A one of a kind, that I do not plan to recreate again. This table was created to the dimensions of a standard coffee table with the idea of it doubling as a floor seated dining table in mind. It was built from one of just a few trees that were downed by lightning, over the years, in our woods. The dark streaking in the wood grain is very unique, and gives a lot of character to this piece. Beautiful wood tones ranging from golden, blonde, reds, blacks, browns and yellows. All the slabs making up the table top and the base came from the same lightning struck tree. It was only fitting that this tree was picked for this design, or vice versa really, the lightning gave me the idea for carving the dragons on it. A very special piece that belongs in a truly special place. It will be the centerpiece in any room! Celtic design with dueling dragons 55" wide at its widest, almost a double teardrop shape, and 18" tall. Made from solid white oak with a solid oak tree stump base pedestal (from the same tree) Carving inlaid with a black charcoal Hand sanded, not planed, to let some of the natural contours of the wood be a part of this pieces natural beauty. Milled and slabbed to create the top, with solid oak cross supports underneath. Joined together with tongue and groove joinery, so as to not warp throughout the generations. Hand carved Celtic, double dragon design, which is sealed with a epoxy resin glass finish, to last an eternity and easy to clean. The build time on this piece was 3 months from milling to finish. The epoxy resin finish creates an unbreakable, no stain barrier to protect the carving and table, so feel free to gather around and eat dinner on it, throw your keys and remotes on it or dance on it in high heels if you so desire. Both table and pedestal are epoxy resin finished. Even if you removed the top, the pedestal base was designed to stand alone as a show piece, if you ever wanted to hang the top on a wall as an art piece and use the table base as a completely separate piece for a vase or statue. I don't know why I did it that way, but I did. Note of wise practice: For every tree we selectively harvest, we plant 4 more, and many of our naturally fallen or dying trees are harvested and dried first in our process.
